I especially love the retro style violets (with lily of the valley/violets border), and the William Morris design improved (I know, how can one improve William Morris?!)  by completely changing the color scheme to the lavender from a dead washed-out pinkish-brown. The lavender willow design is also a send-up of another William Morris with my own spin. I included (as I often do) stripes, borders, dots for anyone who likes to decorate spliting the wall at a chair rail. Having two patterns makes the room at hand much more interesting I feel.

Book35: 1940's style Quarter-Inch Cottage (approx. 1:48): Adorable tiny cottage kit includes patterns for balsa wood, all coverings, furniture, 3 little books, 2 game boards and wall phone. Lamp requires a bead for light bulb. You will need 3/16" thick balsa by 3" wide. FYI, the balsa sandwiched between the paper and glue creates a sturdy structure. The photos do not serve this project well; it's a new camera and I am having trouble taking good photographs. A case of the camera having too much capability and I'm not able to wade through it all!

Make certain to download PDF project file at time of purchase!The beauty of illuminationed manuscripts from the fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries in Europe inspired the creation of the ornaments contained in this easy-to-make set. Use heavy weight paper like cardstock. Embellish with tassels and pretty jewelry bead end caps--place a hoop of gold thread or thin wirein the end cap. Add a little decadence by highlighting dots with an extra fin​e tipped Liquid Gold Opaque Paint Marker (I use a DecoColor by Marvy Uchida).

        This is a project I worked on for over a year! It has a narrow appeal, nevertheless, it was a labor of love and perfect for the student of American heritage. You will find a page for each U.S. President. A storage sleeve for the two volumes is included to keep them closed on the shelf.
        Also included in the kit are 16, 3/4" plates and 16, 1" plates for display. I've mounted a set in the photo above on wood slugs. Wood or ceramic slugs (plain plates) are found in abundance on the internet.
        The books include a history of White House china perfectly typeset and readable. I have included a 1 page file of that text found on the website.
        Plate embossers or "shapers" can be found at Dollysgallery.com direct link. FYI, I am not affiliated with that site, nor do I benefit financially. I do own a couple of her shapers and they work well.

Book39 Scientific Collections: Kit comes with 5 "fossils" which can be embossed with a blunt end tool (clay tool for example). I wish you could see the embossing in the photo! Four different coin collectibles; 4 sheets of "stamps" with folder; four shadow boxes (use acetate sheet for windows). I included blank inserts if you want to make your own collections and I included some pre-printed inserts. I included a pattern for cutting 3/16" chair rail, if you want to have real wood trim around the shadow box window. Last but not least 6 great posters of flora and fauna.
